The Undercover Dream Lovers
The Undercover Dream Lovers
The Undercover Dream Lovers is the American indie psychedelic dreampop project by songwriter and producer Matt Koenig. Koenig debuted the first Dream Lovers EP, While It’s In Style, in early April 2016 at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right and he hasn’t stopped since.

Koenig wrote and produced all the songs for the Dream Lovers in his Brooklyn, NY bedroom before moving to Los Angeles, where he now has a home studio. Periodically, he enlists the help of friends for a drum part or mixing advice/collaboration but hopes to eventually work with a consistent band. Being a part of a band has always been Koenig’s inspiration for music, however he has found it more practical and efficient to create the songs himself.

One of the biggest highlights for the Dream Lovers has been the rapid success of his single 'Good Luck', which went viral on Spotify shortly after its release in October 2016. The track also landed in an episode of Vice’s “Fuck, That’s Delicious,” scoring the band their on screen debut. ‘Come Home’ came less than a year later, landing on Spotify’s New Music Friday and going viral, continuing his momentum for growth.

Now that he’s settled in Los Angeles, Koenig is looking forward to releasing his first full length album in 2019 and also intends to tour much more.
BOYO is the pseudonym of 22 year-old singer-songwriter Robert Tilden. Tilden's been kicking around the LA DIY scene since he was 16 years old, spending the better part of it fronting the garage band Bobby T. and the Slackers. “Me, Again,” the follow up to his debut Control, taps into his sense of vulnerability, taking on themes of isolation, addiction, and regret. The album is a jagged collection of garage rock and soft DIY indie and noisey pop music, channeling everyone from Angel Olsen to Elliot Smith to Deerhunter.

Liam Benzvi (fka Soft Ethnic, also the front man of New York new wave outfit Strange Names) is coming out with his first solo EP in early 2019.

“In what sounds like an amalgamation of queer no-wave and r&b of the late 70s/early 80’s, the melodic insistence of Benzvi’s songs feels original in delivery, and familiar in musicality.” - Autre Magazine

“Rufus Wainwright with Arthur Russel grooves” - Hype Machine

“A crooner with a sweaty desire” - Stereogum

“An up-and-coming indie pop star” - Out Magazine
