Maddie Ross
Maddie Ross
Maddie Ross moved to Los Angeles at 17 to study "pop music" at USC. This is an absolutely absurd degree, but it did introduce her to some of best musicians and artists in LA, including her producer/co-writer Wolfy. They released Maddie's first EP, Television Is My Friend, in 2014. Two years later they created Making Out Is Easy, a grungy, guitar-driven alt pop EP about growing up female, being comfortable with sex and sexuality, and of course the ups and downs of romantic relationships as a 23-year-old. Upon the release of the first single, Maddie was nominated for LA Deli Magazine’s Artist of the Month. The 405 predicted that the EP “could be one of the year's best under-the-radar releases”.
When not making music, Maddie spends her time raising her blood pressure reading the comments on trending news articles, cooking for friends, teaching SAT courses, and doing consulting work for her parents' Corporate Diversity Consulting Firm. She loves babies, female singers who scream and not having to explain basic truths about gender, race and sexuality to new people.
Glitter Trails
Glitter Trails
Los Angeles-based Kerri Stewart is Glitter Trails, a controlled experiment in iridescent, pop-tinged “dream rock”. The self-titled EP floats in the golden hour – awash with sun-painted melodies, gossamer synths, and radiant, tightly intertwined guitars. Against the polished production her uniquely raw vocal cuts clear and compelling. Thoughtful, and rich with intimate imagery, the EP is a twilight confession; dark, but ultimately hopeful.
