In his twenty plus -year career as a San Francisco Bay Area-based musician, Hayes has won acclaim from fans and critics alike. He’s duetted with Aimee Mann, toured with the Birds of Chicago, Charley Crockett, Ani DiFranco and the Cold War Kids, been covered by The Be Good Tanyas and re-mixed by DJ Mark Farina, and had his music featured in a variety of television shows, films, and commercials. Raised in North Carolina and honed as an artist in Northern California, Hayes crafts music that, as the SF Weekly puts it, “succeeds on the tension between warm, resonant soul and dirt-road folk, all laced with a wandering troubadour’s coo.”
Edwin is an alt-folk band, comprised of Jacob and Matthew Boll, brothers from Chicago, but now each residing on opposite coasts. Edwin can't help but nod to their favorite songwriters (George Harrison, Sufjan Stevens, Tom Waits, Nick Drake) with outright classic arrangements met with blunt, tangible, make-you-look-inward lyric subjects. With their previous EP release, "You Have No Idea, Man", aging well and standing strong at about two years old, Edwin is currently working on their next (and first) full-length record.
